How to make a device for picking berries from a bottle
From a plastic bottle, preferably thick-walled and therefore more rigid, but a regular one will do, remove the paper label.
We drill many small holes in the lid with a drill. At the top of the bottle, under the neck, draw a heart with the point oriented downwards.
We make a hole in any place on the drawn line of the outline of the heart using a stationery knife for scissors, with which we cut out the heart.
We also make many holes in the bottom of the bottle. If dents have formed in a plastic container during manipulation, straighten them from the inside using a stick of a suitable size.
The holes in the bottle serve solely to ventilate the collected berries, but they are, of course, optional. Picking berries is very simple. We lift the gooseberry branch and pass the berries through the heart, moving the bottle from the base of the branch to its end.
This homemade berry picker is very convenient and quick to collect gooseberries without pricking your hands on the sharp thorns of this prickly bush. It only takes 7-10 minutes to pick berries from one bush.
