How to prevent anything from sticking to an aluminum or cast iron frying pan. Method from a Soviet magazine
If you have old frying pans, do not rush to replace them with new ones with a non-stick coating. By treating them correctly, you can make sure that nothing sticks or burns to them. As a result, you can fry pancakes in such a frying pan even without oil. This is a very simple method from one Soviet magazine.
What you will need:
- Salt;
- rags;
- sunflower oil.
Process of frying pan processing
Place a couple of tablespoons of salt on the frying pan. It is distributed over the entire surface, and then the frying pan is heated over the fire until the salt turns brown.
The salt is removed and the hot frying pan is wiped with a damp cloth.
Then a teaspoon of sunflower oil is poured onto it and it is heated again. It is necessary that the oil spreads over the entire surface, preferably along the sides.
As soon as the oil begins to smoke, wipe the frying pan dry with a rag or napkins.
After this, nothing will stick to it.
This effect lasts for about a year, after which the treatment is repeated. The method really works and allows you to make an old frying pan as comfortable as a new one with a non-stick coating. But at the same time, you can use metal, and not just wooden and silicone spatulas.
