Handmade headband

Any beautiful hair decoration complements any outfit very well. It is especially difficult to choose some ready-made jewelry to match your outfit, but making it yourself, using accessories and materials similar to the outfit, is good for us and this master class will help. In it we will make a hoop or headband that will be decorated with flowers kanzashi. For example, you or your child will have a white or white-pink dress, to which the color scheme of our hoop will ideally match.
In total, our headband will be decorated with three colors, two of which are identical and medium in size, and one is large. Accordingly, we will use three types of ribbons: satin, brocade and organza. A wonderful combination and transition of colors with each other will create a delicate and original final result. So, for this we take the following:
• White satin ribbon 50 mm wide;
• Soft pink satin ribbon 40 mm wide;
• Organza ribbon 40 mm wide, white;
• Silver brocade ribbon 50 mm wide;
• Thin hoop, covered with light pink satin ribbon, hoop width 5-6 mm;
• Three pink centers - flowers;
• Needle with thread;
• Glue gun;
• Scissors;
• Pencil;
• Lighter;
• Hairpin for clip;
• Ruler.

Let's get started. The hoop will be decorated with three voluminous flowers. All three flowers will have the same number of petals, twelve each. We take the ribbons and prepare squares from them, from which we will make petals. Our large flower will be white and silver, so for it we take a wide white satin ribbon and a silver wide brocade ribbon. From both of them we cut twelve squares 50 by 50 mm, we get 12 white and 12 silver squares. For medium identical petals, prepare 12 soft pink squares 40*40 mm and 12 white organza squares 40*40 mm. We will have both flowers in two colors and with a combination of white and pink.

We cut all the squares with sharp scissors, and then burn each one separately on both sides with a lighter.

Flowers in a hoop will also be made in different styles. A large flower will have sharp, elongated petals, while a medium flower will have more rounded petals. So, let's start making sharp petals. Take a white satin square and fold it diagonally.

Fold it diagonally a second time and secure it with a hairpin or clothespin. Take a silver brocade square.

We also fold the silver square diagonally once and a second time.

Now we first take a white folded petal, apply a silver one to it, retreating from the edge somewhere 1-1.5 mm, clamp it with tweezers and fold it in half.

We straighten the cut with scissors on the side, and also make an even, parallel side cut. Use a lighter to process all cuts.

We cut out two circles with a diameter of 3 cm from a pink ribbon, and a circle of 4 cm from a white ribbon. We burn all the circles.
