Satin ribbon headband

Homemade jewelry brings a lot of joy, especially if it is a kind gift to a loved one. When creating such a thing, you try to put your soul into it and charge it with positivity and the message of the best. A headband in delicate pink tones, made of satin ribbons, will be a wonderful decoration for a little fashionista’s hairstyle and will emphasize the tenderness of her face and the sparkle of her eyes.
To create a headband we will need the following materials and tools:
- three types of satin ribbons 2.5 cm wide (pink, crimson and white);
- a piece of pink fabric (mesh);
- a simple plastic rim;
- glue (you can use a hot gun, or glue for ceiling tiles, it has a consistency suitable for working with fabric);
- thread and needle, scissors, lighter;
- one cotton pad.



We start by creating flowers from satin ribbons. Carefully seal the edge of the tape with a lighter, fold it into a corner and form the middle of a rose bud.




From the wrong side we sew the middle of the bud, and so as not to fall apart, we sew every two rounds, folding the ribbon almost in half and bending it (this is how we form rose petals).




Now I’ll cut the ribbon with a small margin, seal the edge of the ribbon with fire and bend it, making the last petal. One rose is ready.



We make exactly the same roses from white and crimson ribbon.



Glue a piece of mesh onto a cotton pad.



Glue the roses on top of the mesh to a cotton pad, then another and a third. Glue the roses on top. Let it dry.



While the decoration is drying, we cover the headband with a pink satin ribbon, place the end of the ribbon on glue at one edge of the headband and wrap it obliquely. We also secure it with glue at the other end. In principle, you don’t have to do this if the color of the rim matches the color of the dye.
Now glue the cotton pad to the headband. Dry well.
The headband is ready and looks just great!
