2 options for cheap DIY PVC pipe sprayers
To organize an irrigation system, you may need a couple of dozen sprayers. In order not to buy, you can make them yourself.
Materials:
- PVC pipe 20 or 25 mm;
- pipe plug;
- self-tapping screw;
- glue for PVC.
Sprayer manufacturing process
To make a sprayer, you need to prepare a narrow ring cut from the tube and drill a plug.
The drill should be slightly thicker than the self-tapping screw. A small embed is also cut out of the pipe wall, which can be inserted across the inside of the tube. It needs to be drilled in the center with a thin drill.
A ring is inserted into the plug, and the embed is glued to its edge.
Then glue is applied to the PVC tube, which will also serve as a sprayer pole. It is inserted into the plug until it stops. The tube will move the ring and the mortgage deeper.
A self-tapping screw is screwed through the plug into the glued-in mortgage, but not all the way.
By twisting and unscrewing it, you can adjust the spray area. Next, all that remains is to glue the tubes with sprinklers into the irrigation system.
Second option
To make this option, you will need a threaded coupling.
A piece of PVC pipe is cut into pieces and a coupling is glued into the gap.
A hole is drilled in the plug. Next, a bracket with a ring to match the thread diameter is made from a piece of thick aluminum wire.
Now, when a stream of water comes out of the hole, it will hit the edge of the wire and spread in different directions.
Both options work great and it’s up to you which one to choose.
