Frame made of newspaper tubes for a baguette

Sometimes even the simplest fake, made with your own hands, is valued much higher than something bought from a store. Proof of this is a frame for a picture or photograph, glued together from ordinary newspaper tubes. In this master class we will tell you how to make a beautiful large frame for almost free.

We will need:
1. Old unwanted newspapers
2. Pen rod
3. Glue stick
4. Glue Second
5. Black gouache
6. Golden paint
7. Brush
8. Ruler with a 90 degree angle
9. Sheet of cardboard
10. Scissors
11. A4 sheets
Progress:
1. Take one page of newspaper, the size of an A4 sheet. We twist it into tubes of the same width. For this we need a pen rod.

2. Since we will have a three-tier baguette, first we glue three tubes together. We wait until the glue dries, and during this time we glue the second tier: for this you need to glue two tubes. We fasten both tiers. The final stage is the third tier, for which we glue one tube. This is what we got.

Since the size of our picture is too large to get by with four such blanks, it is better to prepare 8 such structures.
3. The next stage is preparing the base for our frame.Take a sheet of cardboard. We specially increased the bottom and width by 3 cm in order to glue baguettes, which are about 3 cm wide.
So, we cut out a blank for the frame, the sides of which are 3 cm wide.
4. A very important moment has come - you need to adjust the corners of each of the blocks. To do this, cut the edges strictly at 45 degrees. Use a protractor or ruler while working.

5. Combine every corner. Apply glue to the surface of the cardboard, press the newspaper blocks and wait a few minutes. It is important that our frame turns out smooth and neat, so we need to work hard to ensure that the newspaper blocks are clearly glued together.

6. Leave our fake to dry. It will take her a couple of hours to do this.
7. Now that the frame is completely dry, let's start painting. We chose black. If you want your frame to be white or any other light shade, it is advisable that the newspaper tubes themselves be without text or drawings. Otherwise, it will take a lot of effort and time to paint over all the imperfections. We saved you and ourselves the trouble by choosing thick black gouache.
We paint the frame carefully, not missing hard-to-reach places between the tubes.

8. Since our painting or photo was intended to be very large, we ended up with a sloppy seam in the middle of each side of the frame that can be disguised. We decided to add a touch of gold to the black tom next to each seam.

9. When the ramie is completely dry, glue two A4 sheets together and glue them to the back of the frame.

10. All that remains is to make holes in order to hang the frame. Glue 2 small cardboard squares to it and make a hole in each of them.
