How to prepare 3 types of thermally stable coatings from liquid glass

Liquid glass produces high-temperature paint for coating metal and other surfaces, using only improvised means. This paint is used to decorate metal products at home, restore old chimneys, paint polystyrene foam, polystyrene, etc. Any adult can prepare this paint.

We prepare thermally stable coatings for various surfaces

Pour one tablespoon each of aluminum and bronze powder and soot into three plastic containers.

Fill the contents of the containers with liquid glass (silicate glue).

Using a ring mixer using a drill, thoroughly mix the ingredients in each glass.

Using a brush or an old toothbrush, apply a mixture of liquid glass with aluminum and bronze powder, as well as soot, to parts of the tin plate.

After drying in air, holding the tin plate with a hand in a fire-resistant glove, we heat the coatings applied to the tin several times in the flame of a gas burner to sinter particles of aluminum, bronze and soot to each other and to the metal surface. At the same time, excess moisture evaporates from the coatings.

Testing the heat resistance of coatings under long-term spot thermal exposure showed simply excellent results.
