How to make a light rake for quick snow removal
With the arrival of winter, work in the yard increases, since almost every day we have to clear snow. Doing this with a shovel is long and difficult. If you have very little time for such things, then make yourself a snow rake. With them you can quickly clear paths with almost no effort.
Materials:
- Plastic sewer pipe 110 mm;

Snow paddle making process
To make a rake, you need to saw a plastic sewer pipe lengthwise. Its halves are folded together with an overlap. The total length should be about 1 meter, but more is possible if the strength allows you to drag the raked mass of snow.
The folded halves of the pipe must be screwed with self-tapping screws to the blade of an ordinary garden hoe.
To do this, it is pre-drilled.
After that, a long pole is installed on the chopper. A regular rake handle will be short, and the angle of the tool during operation will not be comfortable enough.
Homemade rakes easily grab loose or lightly compacted snow up to 10 cm high. They are very convenient to move parallel to the side of the path and clear it with back-and-forth movements. The performance with this method is almost the same as that of a mini snow blower.
