The laziest way to clear snow imaginable

The laziest way to clear snow imaginable

Once I once saw that some motorists were covering their car with a tarpaulin. And as soon as they have a desire to go somewhere, they remove this tarpaulin along with the snow that fell on it during street parking. It takes them 5 seconds to do everything and their vehicle is completely cleaned.

This got me thinking: what if we put this tarp on the sidewalk or the road in front of the garage? Then in the morning, after a heavy snowfall, you can remove the snow in one motion and immediately drive or walk.

Will need

To bring the idea to life, I needed:
  • Tarpaulin made of nylon or plastic. It can be sewn from bags or used ready-made.
  • Strong rope.
  • A few pieces of wood.

The laziest way to remove snow

We tie a rope along the edges of the tarpaulin. Each edge has its own segment. We also tie the sides if the tarpaulin is wide.

Next, we lay it out on the path, say, in front of the house. We spread logs along the edges to prevent the tarpaulin from being blown away by the wind.

The ends of all ropes must be fixed, say, on a nearby shovel.

Instant snow removal in 5 seconds

There was heavy snowfall at night. Everything fell apart.

But it will take me less than 5 seconds to remove all this from the path.

We take the ends tied to the shovel and pull them to the place where we need to dump the snow.

The entire area was cleared: the steps and the path.

If you remove this volume with a shovel, then I think it will take at least 20 minutes. Plus, you'll sweat.

Advice: If you suddenly decide to repeat this life hack, then do not even think about walking on a snow-covered tarpaulin, as it is incredibly slippery.

Of course, this method may not suit everyone. It will be great if the proposed area is located on a hill - this will make it easier to clear snow at once.

If a little snow has fallen, it can be removed with a shovel in 5 minutes. But if it really piles up, and it’s also wet, you’ll rather tear the tarpaulin (if you’re strong enough) than move this mass.and if, in addition, the weather is unstable and the tarpaulin freezes to the path... then a fall will be guaranteed :)

The best thing for a lazy person: lay out the awning in advance, press it down with firewood, adjust the ropes for easy access, then pull it all off with the snow, drag the snow somewhere (where there is room), throw the snow and firewood off the awning, pull the firewood out of the pile of snow and start all over again. Invented by a genius.
