Old frying pans are so covered with soot that you can only remove it with a grinding tool, but not with a washcloth and detergent. The proposed method will allow you to remove many years of carbon deposits almost effortlessly. Everything is done at home using available materials.

What you will need:

  • Plastic bag;
  • paper napkins;
  • ammonia.

The process of cleaning a frying pan

This method involves the use of ammonia, so it is better to work outdoors or with the hood on. Rubber gloves and goggles will also come in handy. The frying pan must be lined with paper napkins and soaked in ammonia. It is necessary that all carbon deposits are covered by them.

Then the pan is placed in a plastic bag and tied.

After a day, the frying pan is removed and the napkins are removed. The carbon deposits under the alcohol compress will be very easy to scrape off. Simply rub it with a scraper or knife.

After rinsing with water, the pan will look like new again.
