“Saving” a stale loaf

Surely many people often have to deal with such a problem as stale bread. There are several ways to solve this:
• throw it away along with other garbage - you must agree, this is the most disgusting and disgusting method;
• crumble and feed the always hungry street birds - this is already a good thing;
• take the risk of “reanimating” the bread, taking advantage of your resourcefulness.

It is the third way to save bread (in my case, a loaf) that I want to offer.
So, to save the loaf, I need the loaf itself, sunflower oil, granulated sugar, literally a teaspoon and 1 egg. Oh yes, also a frying pan with a lid.

“Saving” a stale loaf

Method of "rescue":
I cut the loaf into small and not thick pieces. Beat the egg and sugar in a bowl.
I dip each piece in the egg mixture and place it in a heated frying pan that has been coated with vegetable oil.
As soon as the bread is toasted, I turn the pieces over and cover the pan with a lid. After a couple of minutes, I open it and place the pieces of loaf fried on both sides on a plate.
The bread is saved. It made a good sweetened dessert for tea.

Bon appetit!
