To check the horizontal, you need to place the level on any flat, approximately horizontal surface. You need to remember the exact position of the bubble in the flask. The level then unfolds. You need to swap its edges and put it again in exactly the same place. After this, you should mentally compare the deflection of the bubble in the flask in this position with the previous one. If it is again located in the center, or shifted to the side by the same distance as the first time, then this is an accurate level. The vertical is checked in the same way.The tool is leaned against the wall and its slope is determined. Then you need to turn the level over to the wall with the non-working side also facing up. If the bubble occupies the same position, then the device is working correctly.
