Homemade soap “Fir branch”

Homemade soap making is a popular hobby nowadays. The necessary ingredients are readily available, and the process is incredibly fun and very simple. For the New Year, the most ordinary piece of homemade soap can be easily transformed with water-soluble paper with a New Year's picture.

To make “Fir Branch” soap you will need the following materials:
1. White soap base (you can use baby soap),
2. Transparent soap base,
3. Cosmetic pigment “Flora” (green),
4. Soap mold “Oval”,
5. Base oils (grape seed, peach, shea butter and so on),
6. Essential oils (orange, rosemary and others),
7. Knife
8. Any utensils suitable for the microwave oven
9. Water-soluble picture “Spruce sprig”,
10. Wooden skewer,
11. Alcohol in a spray bottle,
12. Microwave (or you can heat the base in a water bath).

We will prepare all the necessary materials so that they are at hand.

Cut the clear and white soap base into pieces into different glasses.

Place the transparent base in the microwave. It takes me 10-15 seconds for the base to melt. It all depends on the power of the microwave oven. The main thing is not to bring it to a boil! And we don’t need an overly hot base. Take an “Oval” mold, pour a transparent melted base into it in a not too thick layer, spray with alcohol from a spray bottle to reduce the number of air bubbles. We leave it to harden, in the meantime we prepare a picture from water-soluble paper. Let's cut it beautifully so that there are no sharp cuts or torn edges.

While the clear coat continues to harden, prepare the white base by melting it in the microwave. This takes 20-30 seconds, the white base melts slower than the transparent base for some reason. We enrich the white soap base with oils; it is better not to do this with a transparent base, especially with the first layer, it should be clean and completely transparent. We enrich the base with a few drops of any base oils and stir thoroughly with a wooden skewer.

While the white base cools a little after kindling (a very hot base will melt the first layer and mix with it), we glue the picture to the first layer. To do this, sprinkle the already dried first layer with alcohol, place the picture face down and also sprinkle with alcohol. Gently smooth out any bubbles that form.

Carefully pour a white layer on top of the layer of transparent base with the picture, but without completely filling the form with it. Leave room for one more layer.

We drown the transparent base again, but add a few drops of green cosmetic dye to it, as well as a few drops of essential oils. In this case, rosemary and sweet orange oils are used. Mix thoroughly so that the color is uniform and the essential oils are mixed with the base.

We pour the last layer on top of layer No. 2 only when it has completely become solid. You cannot pour too hot a solution, otherwise you will damage the layer. And don’t forget to spray alcohol on the layers to reduce bubbles. Leave the soap in the mold until it is completely dry. This usually happens in a maximum of an hour.
We take out the soap and enjoy its wonderful aroma!
