All you need is an old sink, mortar and some bricks. In this article you will learn how to cheaply make a stove from an unnecessary sink.

Will come in handy

  • washing;
  • sand;
  • cement;
  • container for cement mortar;
  • refractory brick – 20-21 pcs;
  • Master OK;
  • a piece of metal or strong mesh.

The process of making an outdoor stove from a kitchen sink

We take an old sink and remove all plumbing fixtures (siphon, pipes, etc.) from it so that only the metal structure remains. Carefully clean and wash the sink surface on all sides.

We place the sink upside down in the place where the future oven will be located. We trace along the contour and draw a drawing of the base of the structure.

Prepare cement mortar. Pour sand and cement into the solution container in the proportion of 1 part cement to 3 parts sand. Mix sand and cement well.Add water and mix the solution. If necessary, water can be gradually added so that the cement mortar acquires a cheese-like mass.

Next we lay out the side walls.

First, we apply cement mortar to the outline of the pattern and place the refractory brick on the edge. We lay two rows of bricks on each wall.

On one end of the lined walls we place a piece of metal or strong mesh, which will act as a lintel. We place a row of brickwork on the improvised lintel, and lay out the third row of two side walls.

Carefully seal all seams inside and outside the folded structure with mortar. You can use a paint brush to clean the oven from excess solution.

We install a sink on top of the brick walls with a sink to the side without a wall. We close the drain hole with a metal plug or piece of metal.

Place coal in the sink and light the fire.

Place a grate on the sink and fry any dish that is cooked over an open fire.

We place several refractory bricks in the hole on the side with the jumper. We put wood on them and light it.

Add or melt a piece of butter to the ribbed surface of the sink to prevent the surface from burning.

The surface is heated to a temperature that allows you to fry food on it.

Good use of your homemade stove and enjoy your holiday!
