4 things your gas burner should have
Any hardware or hardware store always has at least several gas burners to choose from. All of them differ not only in workmanship, but also in design. Often even a burner that is cheaper is more convenient and better than the expensive one. Let's consider what to look for when choosing such a tool so that it will delight you with its work.
1. Piezo ignition
Be sure to choose burners with piezo ignition. Its presence does not significantly increase the cost, but eliminates the need to carry matches or a lighter. And it’s safer to light a burner with piezo ignition.
2. Heating
Burners with gas heating work much better. This attachment is a thin tube bent in half. Gas from the cylinder passes through it, is heated and, as a result, is supplied for combustion with increased pressure.
The heated burner burns smoothly without flashes. You can determine the presence of such an attachment by looking at the end of the nozzle. The curl of the tube is easily visible. By choosing a heated burner, you can work with it equally comfortably both in summer and in winter in severe frosts.
3.Air supply adjustment
A burner with an air supply regulator allows you to more accurately adjust the flame temperature. Its presence will help significantly save gas and make it easier to perform delicate work when it is important not to overheat the heated surfaces. You can tell that the burner has a regulator by looking at the wheel in front of the nozzle.
4. Burning upwards with a balloon
Not all burners can operate normally when upside down. Sometimes in hard-to-reach places such an opportunity is not superfluous. Burners that can do this have a corresponding inscription or picture on the packaging. It is better to give preference to this particular model.
