How to connect a lighter to a gas burner when there is no cylinder
If a situation arises when a gas burner is needed urgently, but there is no gas cylinder, you can connect a regular disposable lighter to it. This method does not damage the burner itself, so in the future it will be possible to connect standard cylinders to it.
Materials:
- gas lighter;
- Super glue;
- hot glue;
- thin metal tube;
- sheet plastic.
The process of connecting the lighter
The lighter is disassembled down to the gas tank. Only the nozzle should remain on it.
Of the removed parts, you will later need a flame height regulator and a nozzle lever; the rest can be thrown away.
3-4 cm is cut from a thin metal tube.
A telescopic antenna from a TV horn is suitable as it. A hole equal to the diameter of the tube is drilled in a piece of sheet plastic. You need to cut a washer along it.
Next, you need to lift the lighter nozzle with a lever and fix it in the extended position with a couple of drops of superglue.
A flame height regulator is installed on the nozzle cover, and a tube with a plastic washer is glued.
The free edge of the tube is inserted into the burner and glued with hot glue.
Now by turning the regulator on the lighter you can open the gas supply to the burner. Later, when a normal cylinder appears, the tube is pulled out, the hot-melt adhesive is scraped off, and the burner can be used as usual.
