Kite

For children, an original craft is a fun activity, especially when done together with their parents. I would like to bring to your attention one of these crafts. A kite (dragon), like a flying machine, is very interesting for a child.
It first appeared in China and Japan (about four thousand years ago). “Snakes” were given a variety of shapes (birds, animals, beetles, butterflies, etc.). Particularly highlighted was the flying serpent or dragon. This is where the name kite came from. During any national holidays, a kite was flown.
Kites come in different shapes. We will make a miniature air dragon from colored paper. Let's describe step-by-step instructions. To do this, we will prepare a set of thick colored paper, glue, markers, paper tape, a stick, and a string. You can make your kite larger.
Take a rectangular sheet.

Kite

We bend it in half. Having measured out a fifth of the width of the sheet, we use a felt-tip pen to mark the line of the future fold. Connect the dots, then bend the sheet.

Bend a sheet of paper on both sides.

Glue the halves together with tape. Then we attach a wooden stick using tape.

This turns out to be the basis for our future snake.

Cut out two triangles from colored paper. Let's draw the resulting shapes with felt-tip pens. Next we glue the triangle ends to the dragon.

Let's attach a “tail” rope to our dragon.

Let's draw a cheerful face. We use felt-tip pens to mark the eyes and mouth of our kite.

Invite your child to complete the craft using markers.

A wonderful sight is the contemplation of a soaring kite, painted in different colors. He wags around and waves his colorful tail. This also creates excitement for children, as they control this process. The main thing is to set the angle of attack for the snake. It is necessary to place the dragon correctly in relation to the direction of the wind. In a strong wind, the dragon immediately flies up.
We wish you good luck in making your air dragon (kite)!! Strong, steady wind when starting it!!
