Life hack for the master: How to install a needle file on a jigsaw

Holes and cuts of complex shapes have to be finished manually with a needle file for a long time. If you have a jigsaw, you can install a file on it to eliminate manual labor. This is done simply.

What you will need:

• jigsaw file 5 mm wide;
  
  
  
  
• large connecting terminal for wires.
  
  
  
  

File installation process

The plastic insulator must be removed from the connecting terminal.

The edge of a 5 mm wide file and the shank of a file are clamped in it. It is better not to overtighten the screws on the terminal, as it may burst.


The device is installed in a jigsaw.

It is important to check that the terminal does not hit the sole of the jigsaw during operation.
When sawing with a file, you need to try to press it in the middle.

When working with its edge, there is a risk that it will slip and hit the surface of the part. As a result, the needle file or terminal will break. To prevent the tool's notches from being worn out too quickly, it is better to set the jigsaw to a low speed.
