How to remove a seam inside a round pipe
When using welded pipes as a guide, you have to spend a lot of time trying to remove the seam that sticks out inside them. If the tube is short, then it can be knocked down with a chisel or polished, but this is impossible on long workpieces. For them you need to make special devices.
If you need to remove a seam in a round pipe, then an unusual type of device is required. To make it you will need:
It is necessary to grind a cylindrical blank that fits tightly inside the pipe. One side of it is chamfered in a circle. The worn surface is restored by welding. For this purpose, use a UTP 711-B electrode with a hard steel rod or an equivalent.
The seam on the welded blank is worn away.
It is then inserted into the tube and pressed through it with a press.
The cutting edge created by the electrode will easily remove the seam.
