Now the ax will never fall off again
Over time, the ax handle dries out and the ax begins to fly off, so every time before chopping wood it has to be soaked in water in advance. If, when stuffing the handle, you additionally secure it with a self-tapping screw, then it will not fall out.
What you will need:
- drill;
- confirmation;
- PVA glue.
The process of installing the ax
A hole is drilled in the side of the cheek of the ax to match the diameter of the furniture confirmation.
Next, the ax handle is stuffed, as usual. In this case, the part included in the eyelet is pre-lubricated with PVA glue.
The hole in the cheek deepens into the ax handle, and a shortened confirmat is twisted into it.
A wedge lubricated with PVA is driven into this field. An ax handle planted in this way will no longer fall out.
