An old-fashioned way to make a hole without a hammer drill

If you don’t have a hammer drill, you can punch a hole in the wall or ceiling manually. For a small amount of work, the proposed method is much preferable to renting or buying a hammer drill, as it is several times cheaper.

What you will need:

  • drill needs diameter;
  • hammer.

By alternating scrolling and striking, you can punch a hole in brick, aerated concrete, shell rock, cinder block and concrete. The process is not very fast, but you will have to spend no more than 10 minutes. This is better than renting a hammer drill or buying one.
