  • M5 screws with nuts;
  • galvanized self-tapping screws.

Chair manufacturing process


To make a chair frame, you need to cut 3 identical beads from tires. This is done with a sharp knife. To make the process easier and faster, the blade can be soaked in oil.

The two sides need to be cut in half. To cut them crosswise, you should use a grinder or a circular saw.

Next, the 4 halves of the sides are connected together while standing.

The result is the legs of the chair. The halves are screwed together, and holes are pre-drilled for their installation.

Then the remaining whole side is screwed to the legs. It will serve as a basis for sitting. The top side is attached to each half.

Strips 2-3 cm wide are cut from the tire tread. They are used to weave the seat of a chair.

First, 2 of them are screwed crosswise with self-tapping screws, after which the remaining strips are woven in. All of them are attached to a solid side. Each strip requires 2 screws.

To make a backrest, you need to cut another side from the tire, but wider than the previous ones. It is screwed to one of the halves forming the legs. A couple of bolts are enough for fastening.

The armrests of the chair are made from the side part of a tire with the bead ring cut off.

The sidewall is cut crosswise and screwed with the central part to the top of the backrest. Then its edges are turned out and attached to the front legs. Their protruding rubber is immediately cut off.

To fill the back, the same ribbons are used as for weaving the seat. They can also be woven or screwed with self-tapping screws with an intersection in the center, which is also not bad. In the case of crosswise orientation, they are additionally twisted together at the intersection.
