How to quickly make gloves from any package
To avoid getting your hands dirty when doing dirty work, you need waterproof gloves. Without the desire or opportunity to go to the store for them, you can make a pair of gloves of the appropriate size at home in a couple of minutes. Any bag is suitable as a material for their manufacture.
In this case, we take a layout for garbage.
The existing film must be folded in half. If you use a garbage bag or bag, then it is initially already two-layered and there is no need to fold it in half.
The film is placed on a tabletop or other flat surface, after which the palm of your hand is placed on it with fingers spread out. Then the hand is outlined with a felt-tip pen. The line must be drawn with an indentation of 5-7 mm from the contour of the palm. You need to circle your hand in two places to get a pair of gloves.
Then the drawn contour is outlined with the tip of a hot soldering iron. He burns through the film and simultaneously solders the 2 layers together. It is important to place cardboard under the bottom before doing this so as not to spoil the tabletop.
You need to trace all the contours, except for the part of the glove for threading your hand through. At this point the line should be cut with a knife or scissors. As a result, the glove burned out of the film can be easily removed and can be used for its intended purpose.
If you don’t have an electric soldering iron, you can solder the film with the tip of an unnecessary knife heated over a fire. It is better not to use a good knife, as it will leave soot and remnants of melted plastic on it. If you need to make many identical gloves at one time, you can cut out a palm template from paper and trace it on the film. This will be faster and more accurate.
The reliability of a homemade glove depends on the hardness of the material used. Garbage bags can be used to make disposable products, for example, used for cleaning toilets or doing paint and varnish work. If you use a thick bag with a print and plastic handles, you can get durable, reusable gloves that are suitable for washing dishes. When making them, long cuffs should be made to protect the sleeves of clothing from splashes.
Materials and tools:
- dense film (garbage bag, bag, greenhouse film, wrap)
