Delicious garlic croutons in the oven
The shelves of modern stores are full of products with dubious composition, to which one’s hand reaches out. One of them is crackers. Dozens of brands, a variety of flavoring additives and, of course, an impressive amount of chemical flavor enhancers and preservatives. But every housewife can easily make such crackers at home. The process of active participation will not take more than a couple of minutes; the rest of the time they will dry out quietly in the cooling oven. Today we will prepare garlic croutons. But, you just need to add another seasoning - and you’ll get a crispy delicacy with a new taste. So next time, instead of buying another bag of crackers, buy a loaf of bread and make them at home. This is not only more economically profitable, but also much tastier.
Prepare everything you need. You can take different types of bread.
Peel the garlic and grate it on the finest grater or pass it through a press. Mix with salt and sunflower oil.Leave to stand for at least an hour, maybe longer. This will make the oil more flavorful.
Place a small amount of garlic butter on a slice of bread.
Use a knife to spread over the entire surface. You need to rub the mixture into the crumb. Flavor the bread on the other side in the same way.
When all the pieces are covered, cut them into bars or cubes, whichever you prefer.
Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
Place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 3-5 minutes. Then stir, turn off the heat, close the oven and leave the garlic croutons in the cooling oven for 2 hours. As time passes, the bread will dry out.
These garlic croutons in the oven can be used as a component of a variety of salads, or simply crunch on aromatic garlic bread. It’s good to offer some sauce in addition.
