Home decor – ballerina made from a napkin

We all love our home to be beautiful, cozy and stylish. You can make many decorative decorations yourself, just use a little imagination. Today I want to teach you how to make a cute ballerina out of wire and napkins that will make your home more cozy and add a playful touch to your everyday life.
One day I saw a work on the website, the author of which was Maria Medvedeva, and decided to do something similar.
What you should have to make:
Several napkins. I have them in one color, but you can combine napkins of different colors, add napkins with a pattern, and so on.
  • Wire. I took regular jewelry wire. If you don't have one, any will do!
  • PVA glue.
  • Small deep container.
  • Some water.
  • Sewing thread to match the napkins or ribbon.

for making a ballerina

Mix water and PVA in a container. We will need this mixture to glue the napkins on the ballerina’s body. While the mixture is infused, we make a frame - the body for the ballerina. It is not difficult to do, just bend the wire as you need.

Now cut the napkin into strips. You can tear them, but I prefer neat, cut strips.

Now we begin to “sculpt” the ballerina’s body.We wind strips of cut napkin onto the wire frame and, having dipped our fingers in the adhesive solution, soak the wound napkin.
twist the stripes

In the place where the head is supposed to be, we wrap a little more napkins for volume.

Fold the square of napkin in half twice to form a sharp triangle, and cut off the bottom part so that the skirt is round and not sharp at the ends.

Now we wrap our triangle clockwise.

Carefully make holes for the arms and head in the unfolded napkin and dress the ballerina.

All that remains is to highlight the waist. We wrap it with thread. For beauty, you can tie a ribbon or leave it like that.

The result is such a beauty.
