USB charger for mobile phone

Many modern mobile phones, smartphones, and PDAs can be charged from a computer's USB port (cable included). But, for example, Nokia smartphones have a separate charging connector, therefore, they cannot be charged in this way. For those who have a laptop, this is a big minus, because they won’t be able to charge their phone while traveling. But this is a fixable matter. Do something that the manufacturers of these phones haven’t thought of! Make your own USB charger!

I made such a thing more than a year ago - I disassembled the power supply from a Nokia, built in a USB socket, and attached the mating part to the cord. Through this connector, Nokia charges from its native charger, but from regular USB chargers it says “not charging” Just like from a laptop. I didn’t dare charge a modern phone with a Nokia charger, but I don’t have anything I don’t need.
