  • Number of servings: 1.

How to make citrus sugar

To prepare sugar, you need to thoroughly wash the orange with hot water, dry it with a napkin and measure out the required amount of sugar. Remove the zest from the orange - only the bright part of the peel, without touching the white part.

Place the zest and sugar weight in any container convenient for mixing with a blender.

Squeeze the juice from the orange into this bowl using any convenient method (using a citrus juicer or manually). Mix the zest, granulated sugar and orange juice using a blender.

Place the resulting mass on a plate, baking paper and set to dry.

Store dried sugar in a tightly sealed container. If lumps form, you can knead them with a spoon.

When added to baked goods, the citrus aroma is fully revealed. It turns out delicious. Try it.
