Shish kebab without skewers and grill in a frying pan

Tired of cooking regular meat or minced meat? There is no way to grill shish kebab or kebab? Try to make a very simple, yet tasty and unusual dish - homemade minced chicken shish kebab in a frying pan. With a wonderful sauce made from common ingredients, this recipe will win over your loved ones right away. And if you serve it in the same frying pan, with a side dish of rice, no one will distinguish this dish from a restaurant one.

What ingredients will you need?

For the barbecue we will need:

  • minced chicken – 1 kg;
  • onions – 180-200 gr.;
  • sweet bell pepper – 60-80 gr.;
  • parsley – 20 gr.;
  • garlic – 20 gr.;
  • breadcrumbs – 25 gr.;
  • paprika – 1 tbsp. l.;
  • red chili flakes – 1 tbsp. l.;
  • cumin – 1 tbsp. l.;
  • ground black pepper – 1 tsp;
  • salt.

For the sauce you will need:

  • red onion – 0.5 pcs. (100 gr.);
  • bell pepper – 1 pc. (80-100 gr.);
  • red tomatoes – 200 gr.;
  • garlic – 5 cloves (10 g);
  • whole hot pepper – 2-3 pcs., optional;
  • tomato paste – 1 tbsp. l.;
  • vinegar - 1/4 cup;
  • salt, water.

Rice for side dish (optional), vegetable oil for frying.

Cooking shish kebab at home

Peel the onion and pepper and cut into as small cubes as possible.

You can further chop it with a knife. Finely chop the parsley, chop the garlic with a knife, using a press or garlic press.

Mix with spices and minced meat, salt to taste.

Wet our hands with water and form the minced meat into slightly elongated balls. Carefully thread onto chopsticks or wooden skewers. Then remove from the sticks, lay out on a wooden board and put in the freezer for 30-40 minutes.

Heat the frying pan and add a small amount of vegetable oil. Place the pieces of minced meat and fry on all sides over medium heat, turning when done.

Prepare the sauce. Fry chopped red onion and bell pepper in a small amount of vegetable oil. Add whole garlic, 5-6 cloves, chopped tomatoes, hot peppers if desired.

Fry everything well, add tomato paste and salt. Cook over high heat for 5 minutes, add a glass of water and simmer covered for 20 minutes. Add vinegar, bring to a boil and beat everything with a blender until smooth.

You can serve the dish directly in the pan. Pour in the prepared sauce and wait until the liquid evaporates a little. Boil the rice, lay it out in an even mound, and garnish with fresh chopped herbs.

On the other side we place the kebab. A little sauce can be left and served separately. Believe me, this dish will not leave any of your family or friends indifferent.
