Crochet beret
If you want to give your sister, mother or friend an original present, you can knit a beret for them. To do this you will need very little: thread, a hook, and desire. It is better to take woolen threads, and choose the color that you like best. The hook must match the threads you have chosen.
To knit this beret, double crochets and a relief stitch will be used. To knit a relief stitch, you need to pass the hook not into the loop, but around the double crochet in the direction from front to back.
Knitting The beret begins by knitting a chain of 6 air loops, which must be closed into a ring. This will be the first row.
Second row – in each loop of the chain you need to knit two double crochets.
Starting from the third row, you need to make increases using embossed purl stitches. That is, a raised purl stitch needs to be knitted in every second double crochet.
The following rows must also be knitted with increases, increasing the distance between the embossed purl stitches by one stitch in each row.
The number of such rows with increases depends on the diameter of the beret you want to knit. So I got 16 rows with increases based on a head diameter of 50 cm.
If the diameter of the head is larger, then there will be more rows.
After this, you need to knit rows with decreases.
To do this, double crochets are knitted together in twos, and the relief stitch is knitted unchanged. I got four rows. You may end up with more rows if there are more rows with increases. The knitting of the beret is completed by knitting an elastic band by alternating the embossed purl and knit stitches.
You need to knit at least three rows in the rib. Again, the number of rows depends on the diameter of the head you are knitting on.
