If your car or motorcycle tires are worn out, you can manually retread them with a very easy-to-make tool. This will save you a lot of money by extending the life of your old set of tires.

What you will need:

  • wooden strip or block;
  • safety razor blades;
  • clamps with a worm mechanism – 2 pcs.

Tool making process

The lath or block must be planed so that the workpiece fits comfortably in the hand. One of its ends must be rounded to fit the diameter of the clamps.

      ok if you just go to the court. questionable savings. the strength of the tire is lost, and only God knows what this can lead to.

    In the 70-80s, there was a shortage of rubber in the taxi company, but we had to work. At that time we took a blade for metal, heated it on the bend and sharpened it. We tied it to a block and cut it, pulling towards ourselves, and there were breakdowns, there was a scar on the hand, the rubber was oak in comparison simport.

    The service life of any tire is its tread depth. The tread has worn off - the tire should be thrown away. Here it is correct to add the phrase to the article: THE NEED FOR INVENTIONS IS CLEVER!

    In Soviet times, I cut the tread for “Zapor” with a grinder! Fortunately, it was simple: a herringbone mesh and two grooves on each side! And the margin to the cord was huge! It’s not for nothing that “welding” was widely practiced back then!
