Throw onions on the coals and get a delicacy
Sauces with a smoky flavor are many times tastier than anything simply prepared on the stove or in the oven. Next time you grill fish or meat over coals, be sure to try this recipe. This is almost a delicacy, the taste of which will definitely be remembered for a long time.
Ingredients:
- onions – 2 pcs.;
- bell pepper – 1 pc.;
- parsley or other greens - a small bunch;
- salt;
- vegetable oil.
Cooking process
Place 2 onions in their husks on the coals.
You need to bake them to black coals so that they become soft inside. If the heat is low, then it is better to bake for 10-15 minutes on each side.
If there is a large amount of coals, you can simply fill them in completely and bake for 7-10 minutes, periodically checking the degree of readiness with a pointed stick.
Immediately after the onion or simultaneously with it, you need to bake the pepper on top of the coals.
It is also baked until charred and softened. Then the burnt skin is removed from it, and the charred layers of the onion are also peeled off.
Onions and peppers are finely chopped with a knife; you can chop them in a blender.
Finely chopped herbs, salt to taste and vegetable oil are added to them.
You can also use any spices, but in moderation so as not to interrupt the natural taste and aroma of smoke. This sauce is a godsend for baked meat and fish.
