How to easily disassemble an engine armature into copper
The armature of an electric motor consists of 20-25% copper wire. Therefore, if it burns out, then it can be removed and taken to a metal collection center. However, the wire is often covered with varnish, so it is extremely difficult to pull it out of the core, and if this succeeds, it will be accepted at a discount for the blockage. To disassemble the anchor quickly and get pure copper, you need to use the following technology.
Required tools:
- side cutters;
- pliers;
- hammer;
- chisel or sharp chisel.
Anchor disassembly process
To get rid of varnish, you need to throw an anchor into burning coals or a fire. After 10-15 minutes he falls into the water.
If everything is done correctly, the core will begin to dangle on the axis, and the copper will turn red.
If you plan to hand over the wire to a metal receiving facility, you can cut it on one side of the core with side cutters and pull it out with pliers. If you need a whole piece, then it unwinds.
Then the anchor is clamped in a vice, and with the help of a hammer and an old chisel or a sharp chisel, the copper contacts are beaten off.
The result is clean scrap without clogging, which will be accepted at the highest price.
