Making a screen with a picture

Yes, I’m just sure that most people have a couple of broken or old mobile phones at home. It would be a shame to throw it away, let it sit, maybe it will do. In this article I will offer you a homemade solution for this “maybe”. Glowing screen with any picture you want. Simplicity, no programming or software. You can place the screen in a frame, in a computer case, on a bicycle, etc.

We need:
1.Screen (Thank you, KEP)
2. Picture (preferably printed on an A4 sheet of paper). Can be colored too
3.Resistor(Optional)

We take the screen from the phone (I took it from the Chinese Nokia n95)

We open it and remove all the insides, it should turn out like this:

Take a picture (this could be a photograph, a logo, etc. But I took the Adidas logo)

Insert a picture.

Now we need to find contacts for power LEDs
(If you have a high-voltage power source, it is advisable to connect it through a resistor
So as not to burn LEDs)

Connect to a power source and voila!

You can place the screen in a frame, in a computer case, on a bicycle, etc.

It all depends on your imagination.

I did the same with the screen from a very old laptop, only there LEDs and the gas-discharge tube and converter. Lights up almost the entire room like a night light

    Veent,
Yes of course! I made a board out of a portable DVD display for a friend of mine and he had a dead board. so it illuminated the entire interior of the car as if from the sun during the day. And I made a flashlight for myself, a flat, bright one for the chest, it shone like a Resident Evil 4 and Leon had a light in the belt area.

I liked the topicstarter idea! But I developed it further and instead of a bare backlit matrix, I made it all-in-one! Let me explain: Mobile phone N e63, wide screen, gorgeous panel colors! But, instead of cutting out a matrix from the mobile phone (which in my case was not there), I used half the phone with a metal backing under the screen. Inserted inside substrate 2 LED white glow from below at an angle and used plexiglass to press the photo printed on paper. As a result, we have an original frame made from half the phone (you can put it in “water” made of plastic clay) with illumination from “spotlights”. It’s a pity, I don’t know how to insert a photo! There are no long-term file storage servers.
