We cut plastic, wood, drywall with regular paper
Hi all! Today I will show you how to make a cutting disc for an angle grinder (angle grinder) from ordinary A4 paper. With the help of which you can cut plastic, drywall, cheaply, so this master class will definitely come in handy on the farm. Thanks to the use of such a paper disk, the cut is very thin and even.
Making a paper disk
Take a couple of sheets of plain white office paper.
Place the sheets on top of each other and align them. Then cut in half with scissors.
Next, you will need a compass like this, with which you can cut even circles from paper.
He doesn't draw lines, but cuts straight away. Because instead of a pencil it has a blade.
In any case, you can take an ordinary compass, draw a circle and cut it out evenly with scissors.
Cut out three circles from paper with a diameter of 125 mm.
We take glue, such as “Pencil”, and glue all three disks together.
Someone will think: why couldn’t they just glue the paper together and then cut out the disk? Here's why:
The paper becomes wavy.
But this is not the case with disks. After they dry, move on to the next step - cut a hole in the center for the grinder.
Cutting plastic, wood, drywall with a paper disc for angle grinders
Install and tighten the paper disc. Everything is the same as with a regular angle grinder disc.
We fire up the grinder and cut. For example, plastic:
PVC pipes:
The seam is even, the edges are smooth. You can't do this with a hacksaw or other disc.
We cut drywall with paper. A little harder, but it still works.
Now it's time for the wooden block:
Sawed square.
Of course, such a paper disk is not durable, but it may well come in handy. It can also be mounted not only on a high-speed grinder, but also on a regular Dremel, drill, and even a screwdriver, clamping it with a bolt and nut.
When working even with a paper disk, be sure to take into account all safety precautions when working with power tools.
