Knife sharpener made from lighter
A simple sharpener for kitchen knives, which you can make with your own hands in 5 minutes if you wish. You don’t need scarce parts and tools for this. This will be a very useful thing for your kitchen.
The first step is to remove two steel wheels from both lighters that strike the silicon. This is all simply done with a flathead screwdriver. Next, use the same screwdriver to free the middles of these wheels from the aluminum sides, so that in the end you are left with only steel wheels without lining.
Then you need to put steel wheels on a small wooden block.
Place them together and screw them to the block with self-tapping screws. The scales of the wheels should be directed in one direction.
The knife sharpener is ready. It will not take up much space in the household, and, if necessary, you can take it with you even on a hike.
The sharpener is very easy to use. You take the knife, place its tip between the wheels, and with a little effort pull the knife towards you.
As a result, metal shavings appear and the dull edge of the knife is sharpened.
I took a dull knife, which initially practically did not cut the paper. I made a dozen movements on the sharpener I had just made.
That's it, the knife is sharpened perfectly. The paper sheet is cut into pieces.
