Vase made from a plastic bottle

The reason for creating a vase from a plastic bottle was flowers made from white plastic bags. The chrysanthemums turned out to be so delicate and light that we had to look for options in which the flower arrangement would be in harmony with the vase. The ceramic jugs looked too rough. Against their background, the transparent petals lost their lightness and faded. Chrysanthemums also did not take root in the rich crystal vase, taking on the appearance of poor relatives.
A blue plastic bottle was ideal for decorating the bouquet. From a container for sparkling water, it turned into an unusually beautiful, openwork vase.

For work I used:
- plastic bottle (0.5 l).
- scissors.
- igloo.
- a candle.

First, you need to cut a hole in the bottom of the bottle equal to the diameter of the cap, then cut off the lower part, stepping back from the bottom by about 1 cm. We have two parts and a cap.

Place the bowl with the hole over the neck of the bottle and screw on the cap. The base for the vase is ready. You can even pour water into such a container. The main thing is to screw the lid tightly.

However, our flower made from plastic bags does not need water, so we will decorate the vase. To do this, light a candle or use a gas burner. Hold the tip of the sewing needle over the flame for 8-10 seconds and easily pierce holes in the plastic. A hot needle enters the wall of the bottle as if into oil. We immediately need to decide on the ornament or design that we plan to reproduce on the vase. We decided to decorate the top part with a row of flowers, so we made holes - the tops of five petals.
Next, use small scissors to cut out the flowers.

This makes such a wonderful edging. The unevenness and roughness that occurs when cutting out elements can be smoothed out if you light a match and quickly push it through the hole in the petal. The edges of the plastic will melt and become rounded. However, you must act quickly and clearly, as there is a risk of ruining the work.

Next we will use the idea of the bottle designers. Initially, the surface of our container in the neck area had longitudinal depressions (grooves). We will take advantage of the situation and make holes along the indentations with a hot needle.

All that remains is to decorate the lower part of the vase. For convenience, we will remove the bowl from the neck and start decorating the patterns. We cut out the leaves at the bulges and thin them thickly with holes. Cut out leaves along the edge. The brown melted edges of some punctures do not scare us. They can be easily cleaned with any rough material: sandpaper, nail file.

We connect the disparate elements of the vase together. We demonstrate the openwork of the plastic.

All that remains is to place a plastic bag in the vase to simulate water and place the chrysanthemum in it.
