Openwork candle

An openwork candle can be a beautiful touch in your interior design, which can give you some special atmosphere, or can be an attractive addition to a romantic evening or night. In addition, openwork candles differ from ordinary candles in their uniqueness and originality. You can make it yourself at home; it does not require a lot of time or financial resources.
So, to make an openwork candle you will need:
1. Candle mass. A simple way to obtain it is to melt ordinary candles in a water bath or just use ordinary dishes.
2. Wick. It can be obtained by twisting the thread in several layers, or by taking a narrow cord.
3. A wick holder that can be taken from a used candle. To be in an aluminum tray.
4. Form. It can serve as a regular glass or plastic cup.
5. Ice, snow or just cold water.
You can also use various fragrances (it can be your favorite or any other essential oil), and dye (wax crayons or regular dyes are used to give a beautiful and pleasant color).
Having collected all the necessary elements, you can safely get to work.
1. To obtain a candle mass, plan or crush the paraffin. All this needs to be placed in a water bath in an unnecessary aluminum container. You can also add dye here if you wish, and after melting you can add a few drops of essential oil.

2. Fix the wick holder with melted paraffin and let it harden.

3. Next, pour paraffin in small quantities, and you must always let the previous layer harden.
4. After you pour the third layer, you should sprinkle snow, crushed ice, or drip cold water in different places a little at a time.

5. After the candle mass is finished, you need to give the candle time to cool down. This process is mandatory and this way you will not damage the mold.

6. In order to easily remove the candle from the mold, you can hold it horizontally under running hot water. You can also remove the candle using a knife, carefully separating the candle from the mold with a knife.

Your openwork candle is ready! If you made it to decorate, diversify or add some zest to the interior design, you can transform its appearance using scrap materials, as shown in the picture.
