Lard in a slow cooker

A piece of lard is suitable for preparing various dishes. You can make delicious lard from it in a slow cooker, the recipe for which is very easy and quick.

Ingredients:

  • 400 grams of fresh pork lard with meat layer,
  • 6 cloves of garlic,
  • 2 teaspoons mustard,
  • 2 teaspoons coarse salt,
  • 2 teaspoons spices

Cooking lards in a slow cooker

Wash the lard, scrub the skin well, it should be a clean light brown color.

Blot the lard with a kitchen towel and use a sharp knife to make deep cuts along the entire white, fatty perimeter. Cut three peeled garlic cloves into thin strips and place in the resulting niches.

Clean the remaining teeth and squeeze them through a press. In a deep container, mix mustard, chopped garlic, salt, assorted spices that you prefer (you can hardly do without ground black pepper).

Cover the entire piece with the aromatic marinade, rub it thoroughly into all the indentations, including the holes filled with garlic, and let it marinate for 15 minutes.

Wrap in several layers of cling film to ensure complete sealing and prevent the aromatic broth released during cooking from escaping.

Place on the grill of your multicooker and use the setting buttons to set the “Steam” mode. In 60 minutes the lard will be ready.

After cooling, place it in a cool place. Cut the lard into thin slices. Bring it to the table.
