Curd cheese from frozen kefir
Homemade curd cheese is an excellent alternative to expensive products from famous brands. The light, delicate cream can be used as a spread for sandwiches and sandwiches, a filling for lavash rolls, and a salad dressing. Herbs, garlic, and spices give it a piquant taste.
Prepare foods:
- 0.5 l of kefir with a fat content of 2.5%;
- fresh or frozen greens;
- salt and spices.
If desired, you can add finely chopped olives, olives, pickles or capers to the finished cheese.
Procedure for preparing cheese from kefir:
1. Place kefir in the freezer for 2-3 hours. Then release the frozen mass from the bag. Place it in a colander set over a deep bowl.
2. After a few hours, when the whey has drained, transfer the curd mass to a plate or jar. Mix it with chopped herbs and garlic, add salt and spices to taste.
Serve the finished curd cream with sliced fresh vegetables and toast. From the remaining whey you can make delicious pancakes or pancakes.
