3 ideas for organizing kitchen storage
If the kitchen capacity is insufficient furniture Everything has to be stored practically in bulk. As a result, finding the right spice or utensils becomes problematic. We offer 3 ideas on how to make the kitchen more comfortable and spacious.
Hanger for pots and pans lids
Lids can be hung on the back side of the fronts of cabinets and cabinets. This way they will not interfere with other dishes and constantly rattle when they are rearranged. To do this, you need to prepare thin slats 2 cm shorter than the width of the facades.
From the same strip, pieces of 20-30 mm are cut.
The blocks are glued together, sanded and glued along the edges of the slats.
As a result, when applying the resulting hanger to the facade, all the covers must fit into the gap formed.
Hangers are screwed to the back of the facades, 2 pieces each.
Make sure that the screws do not penetrate through the door. After this, the covers are hung on the stands.
Cutlery compartments in drawer
Many people use plastic trays to store cutlery, various bottle openers and other utensils. They take up almost the entire space of the drawer, but still do not accommodate the necessary little things, and moreover, they often have cells of completely inappropriate sizes. In this case, you can mark new cells at the bottom of the box into which everything will fit.
Next, you need to make walls for the marked cells from a wide thin strip. The parts must be cut according to the drawing, strictly observing right angles. Then they are assembled with self-tapping screws. To hide the screw heads, you can drill before screwing in the fasteners, and then hammer the hole with dowels.
The partitions are assembled without a frame. On the sides, the outer cells will simply be limited by the walls of the box. Since the partitions are made of wide slats, you can put a lot of cutlery and tools in them. In addition, a cell of the required size will appear for each of them.
Multi-level stand for cans
If you prefer to store spices, tea and coffee in identical tin or glass jars, then you are familiar with the confusion that arises when searching for one of them. Multi-level storage solves this problem.
To do this, count the number of your cans, divide them into 3 parts, and place one of them in a row. Measure its length and cut 6 planks according to this parameter.
3 corners are twisted from the boards onto self-tapping screws. Then they gather into steps.
After this, the sidewalls for the steps are assembled and screwed to them. In this case, the heads of the screws will be visible, so you can also use dowels to cover them. If there are gaps left somewhere, mix sawdust with wood glue and rub it into the gaps.
Each jar installed on such a stand will be clearly visible, and you can find it in a couple of moments.Due to the levels, all the spices will take up less space than if they were just standing on the shelf.
