Painting "Calligraphy"

Calligraphy is the art of the Chinese people. According to their beliefs, Chinese characters bring happiness, luck and love. In order to start making such a picture yourself, you need to think only about the best, because the process of creation is similar to meditation.
So, for the painting you will need an image of the hieroglyph itself, black paints or inks, a brush, a canvas no larger than A3 in size and 4 planks (they will be shown in the photo below; in our case they are made of bamboo).
The first thing you need to do is prepare the canvas (we use a slightly embossed canvas, which is what Chinese educators use).

Painting "Calligraphy"

Having prepared the canvas, you need to print out the hieroglyph you like (in our case, this is an ancient hieroglyph meaning “love”).

You can make a stencil from such a hieroglyph, apply it to the canvas, and then apply paint, but in our case we transfer the hieroglyph in a different way - by redrawing it with a pen. You can draw a sketch with a pencil, or you can improvise and apply it in one motion (after practicing on plain paper).
After redrawing the hieroglyph, prepare black paint (gouache) or ink and a brush. It is better to use a natural brush.

After redrawing the hieroglyph, apply paint on top. Make this process meditative, put all your brightest feelings into it. And in the end you will get a beautiful picture.
After you have already drawn the hieroglyph, you need to make a frame so that it looks beautiful and can be placed on the wall.
We use bamboo planks for the frame, which we will glue to the canvas.

You can use another type of plank, which will be located on the sides of the canvas, but we took bamboo, because... We believe that they most closely match Chinese art. So you need 4 boards. You determine their size yourself, based on the size of the canvas. You can see an example in the final photo below.

Our picture is ready. This is the end result. Such paintings perfectly complement the design of the room and bring good luck.
