Master class “Bottle-Monstro”

To create a bottle decorated with leather named Monstro, take the following materials and tools:

  • - glass bottle;
  • - a pair of plastic eyes for toys;
  • - thin, dark skin;
  • - a small piece of white or milky skin;
  • - transparent universal glue “Dragon”;
  • - nail polish remover;
  • - cotton wool;
  • - ballpoint pen;
  • - wire cutters;
  • - scissors;
  • - stationery knife and toothpick;
  • - tweezers.

Having celebrated a special event, do not rush to throw away a glass bottle with smooth walls. Soak it in warm water to remove the labels. If there is any glue left on the glass, remove it with nail polish remover.

While the bottle dries, prepare the monster's eyes. You can buy plastic eyes at a craft store or quietly pick them out of a soft toy that you are about to throw away. Use wire cutters to remove excess plastic from the eye parts.

Apply clear all-purpose adhesive to the front side of a small piece of dark leather.

Place the eye on the glue and wrap half of the piece, stretching the skin. This will create the lower eyelid.

Do the same for the upper eyelid. Let the glue dry a little.

Use scissors to trim off excess skin. Glue the eyes to the bottle with universal glue. Rotate your eyes until the glue hardens and choose Monstro's future facial expression.

To add volume to your nose, roll a piece of skin into a cone. Cut it to the length you need.

Attach the base of the nose to the bottle.

Take a fairly large piece of dark leather. Ideally, this piece completely covers the bottle. But if there is not enough skin area, it’s okay. First, coat the long side of the piece with glue and fold the edge of the leather. Then apply glue liberally to the center surface of the leather piece.

Apply the folded edge of the skin to your eyes. While the glue is still wet, use your fingers to sculpt the bottom of the monster's face. Make a grin with your lips parted. Use a utility knife to make a cut in the middle between your lips.

Quickly, before the glue dries, fold the cut edges under the lips and remove the remaining glue from the glass.

Apply universal glue to the remaining area of the leather and glue it to the bottle. You can additionally create folds on Monstro’s face. Decorate the top of the bottle with leather in the same way. Cut off the excess skin along the bottom line of the bottle with scissors. If necessary, use additional pieces of leather.

While the bottle dries, decorate the bottle cap. Using a ballpoint pen, draw the outline of a circle for the lid. Cut it out and apply glue. Glue the leather circle to the top of the lid, stretching the leather around the perimeter.

Fold the edge of the leather strip into a C shape. Glue this strip with the folded edge to the top of the lid. Use tweezers to wrap the second edge inside the lid.

And the final touch is the teeth. Glue two very small triangles of light leather together so that the underside is practically invisible.Using a toothpick, apply glue not to the teeth, but to the attachment points and secure these two fangs.

Now the bottle, decorated with leather, is ready. The result was a joke bottle named Monstro. Whether you keep it for yourself or give it to someone is up to you.
