Interior wall decoration

I offer an idea for decorating your interior. Let's make an unusual shelf. This will be a tree branch. Already interesting. Is it true? We will also make a nest with eggs, a chick and a decorative candle! And we’ll put all this beauty on a branch.
Interior wall decoration

We will need: a sanded strip 3 cm wide, 1.3 cm thick, a sanded board 1 cm thick, acrylic paints, a construction stapler, screws, wood glue, a saw.
The meaning of this design: the slats will imitate a tree branch, and the diamonds cut from the board will be attached perpendicular to the branch (so that something can be placed on them).
First, I drew a shelf-branch on paper, then I made a pattern of a branch from a newspaper in real size and shape.
I cut this pattern into pieces, each of which will correspond to a specific part of the branch. I wrote a serial number on each part so as not to get confused when assembling. I sawed the strip according to these parts. Again, I numbered each piece according to the pattern.

I cut out three rhombuses measuring 15 by 10 cm from the board. The edges of all parts need to be sanded with very fine sandpaper.
And then - the actual assembly of the shelf.I began to attach all the parts, in accordance with the numbering, to each other with glue and on the reverse side with staples using a stapler. I also placed the diamonds on glue and secured them with screws. I didn’t have the hinges to hang the shelf on. Therefore, I simply made two holes (not through ones), on which I hung the branch, placing these holes on the screws in the wall. The branch shelf was painted with acrylic paint.

I made a chick and eggs from salt dough. To give the chick some texture, I sprinkled the still wet dough with ground coffee. Using a knife, I made many small cuts in the places where the wings are located. The result was an imitation of feathers. Then I covered the eggs and chick with acrylic paints.

I made a nest out of bast. I just twisted the “ribbons” and washed them in a circle (not forgetting about the bottom).
I melted three white candles in a steam bath in a tin jar. I made a barrel-shaped candle mold (without a lid) from plain paper. Be sure to seal all seams tightly so that the paraffin does not leak out! I very slowly poured in the melted paraffin, poured coffee beans into it, and poured in some acrylic paints. I inserted the wick.

I put my works on the shelf – I’ve been admiring them for four years now! Join us!
I wish you creative success!

My walls are usually always “bare” and because of this the room looks somehow empty. Therefore, I decided to turn to this article. I made a shelf and decided to glue photos of all family members on the eggs, it turned out to be a small composition. It looks very fun and interesting.
