Automatically turn on and off from your computer

After turning off the computer, I also need to turn off the speaker system, modem, desk lamp.... I thought about how many unnecessary steps and decided to make a so-called general shutdown device that would be controlled by the computer.
Here is a diagram of this device. We can say that there is only one detail in it - this is a relay for a contact closing voltage of 5 volts, because it will be plugged into a USB port and for a contact group voltage of at least 400 volts and a current of up to 1 A. I had exactly this.

The operation of the device is simple - when you turn on the computer, current is supplied to the relay and the relay, in turn, turns on the loads.

There is another option to turn on the LPT port rather than the USB port and control the program, but I settled on usb.

I took an unnecessary socket and a round box, in short, it’s not that important, and assembled everything like this:

I attached the relay to a piece of an old board.

Ready!

We connect it to the computer and plug it into the acoustics. We turn on the computer and the acoustics turn on along with it!

Don't forget 220 volts is DANGEROUS to life!

Be careful the USB port allows up to 400mlA of current, attach it, send your mother to another world

What are you talking about?! the relay consumes less than 50 mA. But a normal motherboard easily presses up to 1 A.

You can also take an optorelle, it definitely won’t bother usb biggrin
p.s. but it will be more expensive sad

you can tinker and connect this thing to the outputs of the power supply: 12/5 volts, but so as not to consume too much load, it is better when the power supply is 500 watts

Why don’t you just insert these plugs into the splitter socket besides the computer and pull out 1, everything will turn off happy

Isn’t it easier to think with your head and understand that no one turns off the computer from the socket!

only instead of a relay, an optosimistor or two optothyristors back-to-back, I have two TO125-12.5 back-to-back 2.5 kW, you can easily plug them in.

Why do you turn on the iron together with the computer?

The relay is normally open, the question is how will it close when you turn it on?

    No, it won't work...
USB does not lose 5 volts when you turn off the computer! smile

Isn't it easier to hang the relay power supply circuit on Light-emitting diode-computer power indicator?
