Painting a children's T-shirt

Original prints in clothes are still in fashion. You don't have to leave a lot of money at the store to keep up with trends. It is enough to have the desire and think creatively. Using fabric paints, you can create the desired print. Also, with the help of a brush and paints, you can transform not only clothes, but also hide defects in the fabric. A creative design in the form of cats on a children's T-shirt will help create individuality, as well as hide barely, but still noticeable, “handwriting” from the pen. In order to draw colored cats we will need:
• Acrylic paints on fabric.
• Brushes (No. 1 and No. 2).
• Cardboard.
• Scissors.
• A jar of water.

1.Fold a sheet of cardboard in half and draw half a “heart”.

2.Cut out the heart.

3.Apply it to the T-shirt and carefully trace it with a black gel pen.

4. We begin to draw cats on the T-shirt itself. To begin with, you can practice on a simple sheet and only then transfer the design to the fabric.

5. You need to place a sheet of paper inside the T-shirt so that the pen and paints do not stain the other side of the T-shirt.

6.After all the cats have been drawn, you need to color the drawing. Since the T-shirt is for children, we suggest you paint the cats in different colors. It is better to fill with color from left to right (for right-handers) or from top to bottom, so as not to accidentally smudge the drawing with your hand.

7.When the paint on the fabric is dry, you need to paint the eyes with white.

8. We outline the heart with a black outline. It is best to do this with a special contour (it will be smoother), but if you don’t have one, then a thin brush will do.

9.When the black outline is dry, you can outline the heart with a colored outline, such as orange. Choose the color to suit your taste.

10.After all the contours have dried, we begin to outline the cats in black and draw out their faces.

11.After 5-6 hours, the drawing should be ironed through gauze or thin fabric.

12.A day after ironing, the T-shirt needs to be washed. It is worth noting that items with handmade prints can only be washed by hand and at a temperature of no more than 30 degrees! You need to wring out the T-shirt very carefully after washing. Do not wrinkle clothes too much. When the T-shirt is dry, it must be ironed through the fabric again.

How wonderful it turned out for you! A wonderful idea, the child saw it and was immediately inspired by the idea. It looks like tomorrow morning we’ll rush to the store to get materials. Thanks for the idea!
