    The idea is far from new. Make the intermediate cables shorter and thicker, and insert a choke in series into the circuit. The simplest option is, for example, a core from the network transformer of an old TV with as many turns of the same cable as possible. The arc will be much more stable.

    Everything is fine... But such a design can easily shy away! God forbid one or two holes in the drainage holes in the battery are clogged!.. During a short circuit (welding) there is a large load. Accordingly, there is a large emission of hydrogen in the battery. And if the hydrogen content in a confined space becomes more than 2%, then a rather serious explosion occurs! Be careful!!! 15 years ago I almost lost my eyes... I managed to wash my eyes with water in time.
