Fan made from disposable forks

I want to show and tell you that disposable forks can be used not only for their intended purpose. You can make a beautiful element of your home decor from them.
To make a fan we will need:
- Forks (25 pcs.).
- Cardboard.
- Textile.
- Glue.
- Braid.
- Lace.
Decorative flowers and beads for decoration.

Let's start making our fan. Let's take cardboard and cut a semicircle out of it.

In the center of the semicircle, for convenience, we will make another semicircle with a smaller diameter, as in the photo.

You need two of these parts.

We will cover each part from the outside with fabric. To do this, you need to place a semicircle on the fabric and cut out the part taking into account the allowances. Lubricate the edges of the fabric with glue and glue it to the cardboard blank. We do the same with the second part.

Now we take one semicircle, place it with the fabric down and start gluing the forks from the center. The base of the fork should be on the line we drew earlier.

We gradually glue all the forks.

Now you need to glue the second semicircle with the fabric facing up. Leave the fan aside for a while to let the glue dry.

The glue has dried, the forks are well fixed, which means it’s time to start decorating the fan. Honestly, everyone has enough imagination here.I took a thin rich pink braid and threaded it through the forks. That is, the braid should go around our forks from different sides, like a snake. We fix the ends of the braid with glue.

Then I took a wide pink satin ribbon and passed it through the forks in the same way. I also glued the ends of the tape.

I inserted a simple hair ribbon into the tines of the forks, alternating the tines in the same way as the forks. I folded the ribbon in half so that it wasn't too wide.

Of course, it wouldn’t hurt to add another bright pink braid, but, unfortunately, I didn’t have any more on hand. In order to dilute the pink color, I used a wide brown lace braid along the edge of the fan in a similar way.

And in order to emphasize the brown color, I glued unusual brown beads. And I glued a decorative flower to the center of the semicircle. So the decorative fan is ready.

This fan can be hung above the bed or above the dining table. It will look beautiful on any wall. After all, it was made with his own hands.
