Knitted hippo

Knitting - This is a pleasant activity that perfectly relaxes and distracts you from the everyday hustle and bustle. When the desire to do handicrafts arises, an idea that can be implemented does not always immediately arise. Today I want to give you one interesting idea - tie a cute hippopotamus in present child or your friend. Now I will tell you how to do this.

What you must have to knit a hippopotamus:
• A small skein of gray thread. You can choose any color, I wanted to make a more realistic hippopotamus, but this is not important at all, experiment.
• Crochet hook suitable for the thickness of the thread.
• Scissors, needle and thread.
• Synthetic fluff for stuffing our hippopotamus.
• Black large beads or small beads to make eyes for the hippopotamus.

We will start all the details, with the exception of the hippo's nose, from the Amigurumi loop. Since the nose is slightly different, I will explain how to knit it. You will knit the rest approximately the same, with the exception of the first row. We knit five air loops and one lifting stitch. We tie these loops in a circle, with additions on the sides.

Next we knit three more rows, adding two columns from the corners.

Now we knit three more rows without additions. The remaining parts are knitted in the same way, only instead of chain stitches you will need to make an Amigurumi loop and tie it with five or six stitches. Here is the Amigurumi loop.

In total you should have 9 parts - 2 legs, 2 arms, body, head, 2 ears and nose.

We stuff all the parts with padding and sew them together. Sew on the eyes, use black thread to make the nostrils and smile, as well as the belly button and you’re done.
