A simple LED flasher using transistors

A simple transistorized LED flasher with a running fire effect

A very simple LED flasher made entirely of transistors without the use of microcircuits. Implements the lighting effect of “running fire” using 5 LEDs. Made without the manufacture of circuit boards, simple hinged installation.

As you can see, this is an almost classic multivibrator, with the exception that it has not two arms, but five. In fact, this scheme can be visually divided into 5 absolutely equal blocks.

Making LED flashers using transistors

We take thick copper wire and make a ring out of it. We solder at the junction. Contacts Light-emitting diode we shorten, bend and solder the anodes to this ring. This will be the positive terminal, although in the diagram resistors are connected to it, but I will swap them for ease of installation.

Now we solder a 220 Ohm resistor to each LED.

Transistors are soldered to the resistors with a collector.

Between the positive and the bases of the transistors we solder 10 kOhm resistors.

Next, we make a large circle of copper wire and solder it to the emitters of the transistors - this will be the common, negative one.

All that remains is to solder the capacitors.

And a power supply for the crown.

That's it, the flasher is ready.

If all the parts are in good working order, it starts working immediately and does not require any adjustments or selection of elements.
