A rug for fans of old computer games.



To make a rug with a pattern from an old computer game made up of pixel squares, all you need is a little patience.
You can create your own unique carpet in the pixel art style from ordinary plain square rugs.

Gather materials and come up with a design

For this job you will need:

Multi-colored rugs - in the photo there are soft and shaggy rugs with cut pile, you can choose something else.

Twine – you will need a lot of it, perhaps more than 100 m.

Needles - you only really need one, but it can get lost... so keep a couple more in reserve.

Knife with retractable blade and several spare blades.

Measuring tape.

• Bend the needle or use ready-made semicircular needles, then it will be easier for you to stick it.
  
• Sharpen the tip of the needle to make it easier to penetrate tough fabric.
  
• Take your time - the process will still take quite some time, so don't try to do everything at once.
